As an Account Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a portfolio of customers, driving our customers success with SourceWhale and across your portfolio maximising retention and expansion. You’ll report directly into our Head of Account Management, collaborating closely with Launch, Customer Experience and sales teams.
The Account Management team is committed to driving sustainable business growth across our existing customer base. AMs in this team assume full ownership and accountability for the annual recurring revenue of their portfolio. They will set the strategic direction for each account to both boost revenue and guide customers to achieve their business goals.
You will collaborate with the Launch CSM to ensure a smooth transition after 3 months of onboarding, and immediately begin building and nurturing strong working relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to ensure the long-term success of your accounts.
Day in the Life
- Developing strategic account plans based on each business’s success criteria, growth opportunities, stakeholder mapping, risks and goals.
- Collaborating with and committing to a meeting cadence for business reviews with each account, prioritising based on revenue potential, their point in the customer lifecycle and other opportunities such as case studies or to stimulate referrals.
- Whether you are managing enterprise, mid market accounts or SMB, you will be solely responsible for all commercial aspects of the account, including the renewal process, minimising churn and instigating expansion.
- Generating a pipeline of expansion opportunities within your portfolio in order to meet the monthly Expansion Revenue goals.
- Working closely with the Launch team to ensure expansion pilots are given the best possible chance of conversion through a thorough onboarding experience.
- Working closely with the Experience team to minimise the impact of technical issues on the overall customer experience.
- You should have your finger on the pulse when it comes to market awareness and data, as well as the risks and opportunities within each of your accounts.
- Strong stakeholder management to develop long-term strategic business relationships to minimise attrition and propel growth.
How will performance be measured?
Retention Revenue - Ensuring the renewal process is followed for each account in your portfolio, and meeting renewal targets set for the quarter.
Expansion - Meeting or exceeding the monthly Expansion Revenue Goal. Outside of the revenue goal, performance is measured by meeting set KPIs on new opportunities created, close rate and average deal value. These opportunities vary from new product upsells, pilots and renewal expansions.
Conducting business review meetings - conducting BR meetings per the cadence of contact to ensure we have regular contact with our clients to drive Adoption, Outcomes and Experience.
